Hello! Thank you for taking the time to visit our website! Our names are Wade and Amy Price. We are the owners of Cool Sunshine RV Park. We are both blessed to be San Luis Valley Natives and Business owners in a community so rooted in tradition and culture. We have always dreamt of creating a place where people could come together to relax and explore, a “home away from home”. We love hooking up to our RV to travel and explore new places. There is excitement in being able to open the door of our home on wheels and see a new front yard!

Our park is a park designed for those with exploration in mind. Centrally located in the town of Alamosa, we are within walking distance of downtown attractions and restaurants. Just like the spoke of a wheel, Alamosa is the spoke of the Valley. Whether you stay to watch the many games offered at Adams State University (our alma mater), attend one of the many downtown festivities, take your sand board to traverse the dunes, or put on your hiking boots and hike the peaks surrounding our Valley, we can offer that home away from home you are looking for.

Park Policies

We are a family-friendly facility designed for short-term stays while you explore our beautiful San Luis Valley. We are located at 1055 7th Street in Alamosa, CO 81101. If you have questions or need any information, please feel free to call us at 719 992-9105 or inquire at the office. Please help us make your stay more enjoyable through your cooperation with the following policies.

Check-in after 1 p.m. on the day of arrival. Late arrivals must register at the Campground Office the following morning. Check out before 11 a.m. on the day of departure. Anyone who has not checked out by 1:30 pm, without making prior arrangements, will be charged for an additional night. We use the time between check-out at 11:00 am and check-in at 1:00 pm to clean and check the landscaping on each site. Therefore, we discourage early check-ins. However, if your travel plans require an early check-in or a late check-out, there will be a $20.00 charge While we guarantee your chosen site type and amenities, our automated optimization system may change your site location.

Except for major holidays, if your plans change and you cancel your reservation more than 3 days prior to arrival, your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel your reservation without giving at least three-days (3) notice, you will forfeit your deposit. In the unlikely event that you do not cancel your reservation but fail show up OR if you decide to shorten your stay by checking out early, please understand that we must charge for your entire reservation. For reservations made for the weekends surrounding the major holidays of Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day please know that once these reservations are made, we will not be able to change the dates and that they are non-refundable. We will charge for the entire reservation at the time the reservation is made.

Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Please be considerate of your neighbors at all times.

The water pressure can be as high as 75 PSI. A pressure regulator is highly recommended.

We are a family friendly facility. Parents are to assume all responsibility for and supervision of their children’s safety and behavior at all times. Children are not allowed to play in the roadways.

All pets must be registered with the Campground Office. There is an additional charge of $3.00 per pet per night. Due to Board of Health Regulations, pets are not allowed in the Campground office, lounge area, fitness center, laundry, or bathrooms. Pets are allowed outside but must be kept on a 6' leash at all times and may NOT be left unattended at the campsite. Animals may not be tethered to utility fixtures, picnic tables, trees or fences. A small dog park is available to play with your dog off leash. ANIMAL WASTE must be picked up by the pet owner. There are 2 dog waste stations for your convenience. Pet owners assume all liabilities for damage or injuries caused by their pets.

The speed limit in the campground is 5 MPH. Vehicles must not block the road or adjacent campsite(s). Parking vehicles on the grass is not permitted. Campground Staff reserve the right to limit the number of vehicles per campsite. Washing of your vehicle or RV is not allowed due to creating mud on our gravel roadways. The Cool Sunshine RV Park is a fairly new facility and our plants/landscaping is new. Large area outdoor rugs are prohibited on campsites grass areas as they kill the grass. A small mat (24" x 24" maximum) is allowed at the base of your stairs if placed on the gravel pad.

We are not equipped to safely charge electric vehicles. If we find that you are plugging your electric vehicle into our electrical pedestal, there will be a $50.00 charge.

Tents are to be placed on the tent pad area, not on the green area. A sink for washing dishes is available at the tent sites. Hot water is NOT provided.

The laundry room, fitness center, restrooms and showers are open 24 hours with coded after-hours access through the north or west doors of the building. Coin operated laundry machines are available. NO pet bedding is to be washed or dried. A change machine and a product dispenser are in the laundry room for your convenience. Do not wash dishes in the restrooms. Do not hang clothes on lines or trees at the campsite.

Your portable propane grills, propane heaters, and propane fire pits are permitted at the campsites but must be placed over gravel so the heat does not damage the grass. There are no wood burning fire pits in the RV Park. The devastating Colorado wild fires as well as a local fire that started small but ended up burning down 8 homes made us reconsider the risks associated with allowing fires. We made the difficult decision that providing and/or allowing fire pits was a risk we are not willing to take with your lives and your rigs.

Deposit all garbage in the dumpster located at the Campground entrance. Do not leave trash outside the trash receptacles or outside at your campsite.

Possession of weapons such as firearms, knives, chains, etc. while outside a personal camping vehicle, is not permitted. Fireworks are also prohibited on Campground property.

We do not offer any full-time residency sites. Extended stays beyond 28 days may be permitted at the discretion of management. A contract will be required with half (50%) of the non-refundable monthly fee paid at the time the reservation is made. The remaining 50% is due upon arrival.

Park management is not responsible for loss, damages or claims to property of guests due to fire, theft, accident or any other cause.
